Call for Applications: Melanie Brose Archelon Fellowship 2025
The Beyond Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science at Arizona State University is pleased
to announce the call for applications for the Melanie Brose Archelon Fellowship. This
fellowship, established through the generous support of Robert Brose in honor of his late wife
Melanie Farquharson Goddard Brose, aims to advance our understanding of time and its
fundamental nature. The Fellow will deliver the Melanie Brose Archelon Time Science Lecture
on April 16th, 2025
About the Fellowship
Melanie Brose was an adventurer, scientist, and philosopher who dedicated herself to
understanding and protecting the natural world, and cultivating wisdom and beauty. She had an
abiding fascination with the nature of time and a vision of transcending its strictures. The
ARCHELON project at Arizona State University, supported by Melanie Brose’s resources, seeks
to encourage research aligned with her inspiration that advance our understanding of time.
Research Areas
