Are we alone in the universe?

The search for life beyond Earth – especially intelligent life – has long fascinated scientists and the public alike. But so far there is no evidence for extraterrestrial beings, or indeed life of any sort. So might we be alone in the vastness of the universe? Or are we looking for the wrong thing in the wrong place?

Discussion leaders Sara Walker and Paul Davies will host the evening's activities.

Come and discuss a deep scientific topic in a convivial atmosphere.  Discussion leaders Sara Walker and Paul Davies will host the evening's activities.

"Scientists agree that the universe began with bang, but what, if anything, happened before it? Come discuss with leading thinkers the latest ideas about one of science's enduring mysteries."
