Are we alone in the universe?

The search for life beyond Earth – especially intelligent life – has long fascinated scientists and the public alike. But so far there is no evidence for extraterrestrial beings, or indeed life of any sort. So might we be alone in the vastness of the universe? Or are we looking for the wrong thing in the wrong place?

Discussion leaders Sara Walker and Paul Davies will host the evening's activities.

Join us for Happy Hour from 6:00pm-8:00pm to discuss this topic - light hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served!

BEYOND Happy Hour is a unique series turning the traditional lecture format of public events on its head. Instead, engage directly in lively conversation with world-leading experts and other event guests in dialog on topics at the edge of science. This is a participatory social event to connect with experts and others interested in the big ideas of science and beyond.

Mirabella at ASU is located at 65 E University Drive, Tempe, AZ 85281 (the Southeast Corner of Mill Ave and University). Enter through the event entrance on the SOUTHWEST side of the building.

Please note there is no parking at Mirabella - the closest public parking is the Mill Ave. Parking Structure.

Because the event has high demand and we have a limited quantity of tickets, if something changes and you can no longer attend, we kindly request that you let us know by emailing within 48 hours of the event so we can allow people on the waitlist to attend.
